Our founding story.
We are no strangers to starting a small business in Australia. When doing so, our directors have previously found themselves buried in paperwork… forms… checklists… endless red tape.
The world has become more connected. There has to be a smarter way to start a small business, and automate most of the setup process…
So we started asking questions. What about the people who were new to all of this? How long did it take them to set up? Was there a life raft?
The answer to the last question was ‘partly’. Business registration services in Australia weren’t exactly new. But with all the buzz about ‘digital disruption’, not one outfit offered a one-stop fully integrated solution. We realised there was a big gap in the market.
Armed with extensive market research and Veromo’s business plan, the next step was getting a valuation and sourcing investors. Jamie Henderson of the Transocean Group came on board for advice, and we soon saw the idea’s potential, and invested themselves. It was just the lift we needed to get started: money, knowledge and experience.
Starting Veromo was – ironically – a great beta test for the product, inspiring a life raft of ideas for new apps and tools – from NameFinder and OnceForm to Adminimiser – with plenty more exciting features to come.
As for the future, anything’s possible. As the startup for startups, Veromo is perfectly poised to help people across Australia realise their dreams. And after Australia? Next stop: the world.
